United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver
Rear interior lights

Can't get my rear interior lights to come on and off when doors are opened!

Front light works fine, but rears need switching on independantly and will only go out when externally locked, however they won't go out if doors are shut, and I drive off.

Is this Normal to have just front lights working in auto courtesy mode? Shocked MY2010 3.0 TDV6 HSE, Zermatt silver/Ebony/walnut, privacy, side steps, rubber mats and standard otherwise...

Same here, I think it is only the front that has the 'auto' function to come on and off with the doors. Surprised ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

If you are talking about the reading lights mod, well, works perfect '08 RRS TDV8

Didn't for my car.

If you have a process that actually works, post it up.

Have a look at this thread.

remember you need 2 diodes for it to work correctly.

If you follow the original write up by AlanM and the little modifications done by myself and others you can get the rear lights working as both courtesy lights and reading lights. As Flydive has said you do need 2 diodes but at these are about 30p each it is nothing really.

@ Garrycol - follow the picture guide I posted in the thread that Flydive linked to or look in my gallery. Will take you less than 90 minutes to sort your rear lights out Thumbs Up

Guess it's all down to cost, add 2 wires etc at circa £0.40 each into the harness X the annual prodution of RR Sports, quite a big on cost. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Thanks - more complex than expected - was hoping for a simple software fix - guess I will live with the standard system and manually turn the lights on and off as required.

Thanks
