I heard this being used by a LR salesman once. If they are short of time to get a car registered before the end of the month they get you to take out a LR policy, you say you want to pay by cheque, the cover note can be taken straight off the LR dealers computer and used for taxing etc.
Then all you have to do is cancel within the 14 days cancellation period and you don't pay a thing.

I am sure LR insurance must realise what goes on as apparently they do it a lot.

I pick my RRS up at 4.00 today (Wednesday) and my dealer called last Monday so i could pick my reg number, i then had to get a copy of my insurance sent direct to the dealer. If you are supposed to collect you motor tomorrow then look's like it's cutting fine.

PS: Did i mention im'a picking my RRS up today?  !st Edition RRS S/C, Black on Black.

Hi, I have loved my D3 but every time i spotted an RRS it took my breath away. When i got to see the interior of the RRS i knew i had to have one. The D3 HSE was nearly as much money so it was a no brainer really. I am lucky to have had the chance of dynamic pack which is basically a cheap way of getting some nice wheels. BTW, my dealer has the window tinting company doing the car this morning before i pick it up, and at cost! Can you believe that.
