Console info screen gone black

Hi all

Drove my rrs yesterday. No problems. Got in this morning and the main computer screen in the centre console is black. If you press the screen you can hear the beeps and indeed the functions seem to work but you can't see what you are pressing!

Spoke to the dealership and they said it might need a software update.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

josh

Hope you got this sorted Josh. Sounds silly, but does it still do it if you get out, lock the car and then get back in and start again ? Question
Can't believe it needs a software 'update' this soon though. Confused ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

No doubt it will turn out to be complex to fix Censored

Hi all

Car went in. They connected it to the computer and it showed no errors. So they "flashed" it and the screen came back on. So who knows. I do know the battery on my car went flat whilst in the showroom before I bought it I also know I ran the remote car heater the morning the screen didn't activate.

No idea what any of that means.

Best regards

Josh

Is your screen still ok? mine went black this week but came back on the next day!! would it be due to a weak battery? i ve had my lights on auto setting so maybe this took power away when starting!! any advise would be great.
