Aftermarket exhaust for S/C?

What is a good aftermarket exhaust for the S/C? I want something that sounds meatier (original s/c soundtrack is too subdued) but still unobtrusive inside the cockpit and also looks good. I have seen Quicksilver adds in Uk car mags, a four tailpipe design on Hamann's website that looked pretty deadly, Overfinch must have one too. Please share your opinions and experiences

These are what you want...........

They have different options - I went for the Large OVALS but they also do twin ones as well. All done JE Engineering of Coventry - the exhausts come as a complete system or tailpipes only - they are working on a new CAT for the complete system since the one supplied at present is not showing any gain over and above the OEM. I am still waiting foe JE to release this. The actual sytem is manufactured by http://www.larinisystems.com/index.php

There are other pics of the exhausts in my gallery.

Yoy will also find that Kahn/overfinch are doing a popular system as well.

But you pays your money and takes your choice Wink

Does a replacement exhaust affect the insurance (particularly if there's a power gain)?

Bob.

Wouldn't have thought so - but best always check with your ins. co.

Also - warranties? Can't see it being a problem - it would have to be the cause of a major breakdown/malfunction to be liable. Confused

LR have said about TC type treatments that 'They don't necessarily invalidate warrantys however there may be wear and tear issues'

No exhaust system is going to liberate as much extra power as an ECU upgrade/remap. Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

So what is the internal difference between a petrol exhaust and a diesel one?

There must be one because JE's T/C exhaust costs about £200 more than the diesel version.

So will putting a petrol one on a diesel like Jay has done have any detrimental effects? TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone
