United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver

Ok went to the local dealership for a good old look around...

First impressions are that these are very much Range Rovers - build quality seems pretty good (some cheaper plastics hidden away) but general impression is good. The exterior styling certainly makes RRS and Fullfats look a little dated.

driving position is nice but perhaps the most un range rover aspect of the car... it does not seem to have a command driving position.

Getting into the 3 door is best left for infrequent use .... seat takes an age to move forward then its a real struggle. I'm
6'2" and head hits the headlining in the back although plenty of shoulder room . unless you never use the rear seats the 5 door is the only way to go.

Favourite spec level was pure ... preferred the seats over the sports seats in the dynamic and i did n't think the leather quality in the prestige warranted the extra cash.... certainly not up to RRS premium leather standard.

New Orkney Grey is very smart and a lot closer to stornoway than it looks in photos where it tends to look washed out.

All in all a very nice motor and in Pure trim represents good value considering the residuals will be good.

would i swap my RRS for one .... No .. but might be an option for Mrs ZV

i will be buying some RANGE ROVER hub caps though they look cool 2011 MY- RRS HSE - Zermatt -Ebony-Piano .... its a monochrome world

Just had to post this...

My Sister in Law recounted this tale to me yesterday .. she was parked up next to someone in an Evoque i at the lights and she is not a fan of the styling of the new evoque.

Well this must have been obvious on her face because the passenger side window came down on the Evoque and the lady on that side of said to my Sister in Law ...." I know i think its ugly too.... he chose it" ... pointing at her Husband.

I have to say i really like the Evoque but this tale made me laugh ... You wait all that time for a new Range Rover .. and then that happens. 2011 MY- RRS HSE - Zermatt -Ebony-Piano .... its a monochrome world

England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

Folks

My wife loves it and having got used to the size after the R32 she is in love with it. Personally it makes my car look dated so I am constantly looking at the local dealership and thinking about buying a new RRSport Autobiography in white but then I am putting 20k miles per year on mione at the moment and it's still running like a dream so is it just throwing money away? I reckon my TDV8 57 plate is worth less than £20k trade in so it's a serious wedge to fork out for a very similar car....

Someone persuade me not to buy a new one, I know it's just throwing money away!
