Back in the mid nineties I found Endsleigh very favourable to my young circumstances. i managed to insure a 1996 Esprit S4s for about GBP2k in 1998 and I was under 25.. I seem to recall they specialised in looking after students, or something like that... They did all of my cars from the age 18.

I obviously have no clue to market conditions right now!!! Cool

I'm about ti hit 40 this year, and my wife is just over 50...so in our house Saga rocks man!! We pay £300 a year on our RRS and on our new Maser it's just over £800...

So my tip is......just start romancing the elderly - a show fire way to cheaper car insurance!!

I changed insurers after all those years when Endsleigh quoted me £45k to insure my new £44k boxster S which i traded the Esprit for!

I may have had something to do with it as i complained to the Insurance Ombudsman about a certain matter and i believe it cost them a lot of money! A long story but a good friend of mine in the industry who gave me 'inside knowledge' couldn't believe how far i got with the complaint!

Surely even if you store the car on a SORN etc it is still going to have to be insured for fire and theft? If you have borrowed any money to buy the car you may also find that it is a condition of the loan that you have to keep it Fully Comp insured at all times.

yea sorry meant to say it will be fully comp till then. Dad will insure it (Got to love insurance quotes @ 50 Laughing )

Due to the car been "yours" your father wouldn't be able to insure it as he has no Insurable interest in the vehicle

How about if say he "Loaned" the money to you and with that money you bought the car, then he has an "Insurable Interest" Speed Limits! not where I live!
