Lokked at these policies myself, my concern was that if one of you has a bump and a claim, what happens to the no claims discount? Wouldnt want to insure a RRS with no claims discount!

I asked the same question and you only lose the bonus from the car that has the crash!! Smile

Considering yours and your sisters age it is a good price, but also a double edged sword, I know of several cases where people ten years your senior cant get insurance thru' the big names no matter what, I bet the form takes some filling in ! Laughing

LR Insurance have just sent me 2 renewel quotes through, one for £587 and the other with their new underwritter (Zenith) at £615 with a higher excess Shocked

spoke to them yesterday and they have no record of the second letter coming to me, but the price with the new U/W was the cheaper one Rolling Eyes

it has slightly less cover too, things like mis-fueling is no longer covered, aftermarket audio equipment is capped at £300, so they now can't cover my rosen dvd headrest for the full cost

they have offered a new price at £537, but i am finding cover on tesco Compare from £400 upwards

LV have quoted £498 too Neutral

Admiral didnt want a tracker either.... Thumbs Up

Chris,
I'm 53 with full protected no claims but it's a contract hire car and 30K miles per annum just for SWMBO and business partner to drive and I live and work in an area with 0 crime so yes I agree it is absolutely ridiculous but it was the lowest I could get with a decent company.
Oh,nearly forgot also insisted on a Tracker which cost me about £600 including 3 years subscription,we also just got an X6 and that is the same price also plus Tracker Big Cry MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

I'm struggling to keep up with this Laughing @ 53 your insurance for a Sport is £1200 ? With the Tracker on top ??

I'm a young 44 2.7 Sport on an 08 plate and it's costing me £279 a year, I bought the tracker for £235 and the subs are £135 a year, this system is transferable, so when I change cars blokey comes along and takes it out and puts it in whatever car I get next, I now fancy a TdV8...on a 10 plate and that will be £320 a year ??? 08 2.7 RRS "S"
Td5 110......very modified

Yes in my 20's 22 exactly but insurance is actually in my mums name with me and my mrs as named drivers.

I dont have any no claims either as I lived in Dubai for 3 years.

And I live in a nice part of the north east no riots there yet lol, would much rather be there than where I am at the moment.
