RSE DVD Player Region Coding

Is it possible to change a Region 4 encoded RSE DVD player to another region?

Been doing some net trawling on this and come up with the following hack which says that it will work on the Alpine DHA-S690 which is the unit in the RRS RSE

I went to http://audsley77.blogspot.com/ but the only file i could find is for the later IVA-W520E

i have downloaded the file and assuming that it has replaced the file for IVA-W520R, about to burn to disc but before i load it into the player does anybody see any potential issues.

So I can buy a DHA-S690 to replace the standard RSE DVD changer (2006 RRS) and all will work OK???

Anyone know how you bring the games up on the RSE DVD, although I've had the RRS nearly 2 years I've never used the unit. Due to selling the car now it might help if I can demonstrate the rear seat entertainment unit.
Thanks for any feedback.
