Front wheel assembly loose? Is this the front diff going?

Hi guys, thanks for looking at my post. I've got an '06 RRS and I just replaced the front brake pads because the warning light came on. Prior to that, the front passenger wheel felt like it was vibrating a little and I thought it was possibly the rotor that needed replacing. I pulled off the tire and noticed I could move the whole rotor up and down slightly like there was a little play in it. Just before I took the tire off, when I was backing up in a parking lot with the wheel turned, I could hear something scraping in that front side, like a metal to metal sound. Is this the front diff going on me? It's going to the dealership this week to get looked at, I just want to have somewhat of an idea before I bring it in.

Thanks in advance.
FYI - I did a search before I posted and could not find anything that was fully related to my issue.
