Possible bogus Irish Turbochip agent !

Just a quick heads up for any Irish members of RRS who may be thinking of having their Sports chipped, that there seems to be some concern over the legitimacy of a guy who claims to be the official Turbochip agent for Ireland.

There’s a thread on the D3 forum discussing this, so have a read………..

http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4137

I would hate to think of someone having their beloved Sport meddled with by a guy operating under false pretences. So I think it would be prudent for owners considering having their car chipped to exercise caution & check out the situation fully before proceeding.

Cheers Shmoogle !

Yes Chris has commented on this over on the D3 thread.

But I guess the best thing is to advise caution if anyone is thinking of going down the chipping route, certainly here in Ireland at any rate.

Sorry MDP, I don’t quite get what you’re saying there re phone numbers & my first message, not to worry.

But to try to clear this up a little, the Irish members of the D3 forum were being canvassed by this guy sending PM’s saying he was the official Irish TC guy !!

So that could mean that an owner might just contact this guy directly to have their car chipped, thereby bypassing the Turbochip web site or phone numbers.
