[/Don't know for sure, I'm not techie, but can't see why not. If it's easily accessible deffo worth a try, though I've no idea where it is as LR couldn't be bothered putting the TDV8 inquote]

DSL

Don't suppose you've a snap of the sensor in position on the V6 to give me an idea where to look?

cheers Kiel

Only tool you need is a T25 torx bit for the TDV6 one.

Hi

job done (V8 has two)

just pop the sound deadening cover off and the two sensors sit at the end of the intercooler pipes on the throttle body

unfortunately they were as clean as a whistle

cheers Kiel

Take your oil filler cap off, or 7io cap if you are looking at it upside down Laughing then just tug upwards and it comes straight off. Thumbs Up

Thanks for this tip!

I just cleaned mine - it looked like the picture of the D3 sensor earlier in this thread! Shocked

Hi all, New to the forum and RRS ownership. Been reading this topic with interest. My 2010 RRS 3.0 HSE blows some blue smoke on heavy acceleration (I don't notice it any other time) and wondered if cleaning out this MAP sensor might help. I had a go today but the sensor wouldn't come out after removing retaining screw. I'm probably being too timid not wanting to break the thing Embarassed Should it come out easily? Any help appreciated. Thumbs Up It's covered 68k btw.
Thanks.
