Just got a call from L/R told me car is still not ready to be collected for today dont was told yesterday that it will be

So now will be 3 days without the RRS can't really complain they did give me a 1.6 focus as a loner RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

a freelander? would prefer a focus myself really..
glad to hear they didn't give you any spiel about it being an import..
and seems to reflect my experience too.. i.e. LR dealers hands tied and too busy, LR assist very good.. but the same guy coming round and can't find anything wrong on his laptop..

My bro in law told me that he saw a lot of S/C going back to the factory with the same problem. I'm thinking it's got to be the dynamic pack RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

Kam they did me about with it being an import

Got a letter with the car saying that once it's registered with the DVLA i then need to take it in to L/R to register it with them for UK warranty

Did all that

Well Spoke to the fat in the service department and she told me that i need to call L/R GB to register it. So then i show it the letter then she rings the guy in new car sales and asked him if he know how to sort this out he didn't know. she still told me that i need to call L/R GB and will sort it out (not a happy bunny)

Got to the shop and called the broker that we got the car. he rings her up and she told him that she told me that i have to get the guy in new car sales to sort it out bull ing

Anyway call L/R GB and told them that i have an import and all about the letter that i got. she said that's right go to your L/R dealer and they will do it all for me. Told her that that thing in the service department told me to call her (L/R GB) and she don't really know what to do with this. Lady At L/R GB was not happy at all by now so i give her the name of my local dealer and she then called her to ask her what the she is going on about

She then told her the same as what she told my broker

But she didn't tell me to go and have a chat with him

Well a week later and 10 calls got it all sorted RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

May be worth trying another dealer next time JayMann, as you are not 'tied' to one as it is an import.
It is that kind of attitude from dealer staff that gets LR a c--p reputation.
Bet they would be more curteous if you was handing over £300 plus for a service.

I tend to agree Jay, they are degrees of s te but I have to say a few years back my mum had a Mazda, then a Toyota and they were spot on.

Maybe that's why Toyota sell so many cars to gimmers and Mazda (IMHO) deserve to sell more cars!

BMW were ok with me after i went on there for the tenth time they were all sound after that

When we got the Freelander last year from a Honda garage, it went back in for some work done on it, and this was the loan car we got...
