Where can I find 12v on ignition behind radio?

I am installing the nav tv set at the moment (pictures will follow), but I need a ACC 12v for the ipod connector. I assume this is the 12V on ignition.
Where can I find it behind the radio/sat nav?
I found out that the radio itself does only have a permanent 12v to the radio (green/purple).

Thanks.

Radio should have both a permanent live and a switchable live I believe!

It is probably easier to take the 12v from the green wire that goes to the cig lighter '08 RRS TDV8
I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil

Is the green wire you mentioned accessible from behind the radio or not? Really nothing in that area?
Again to access the cig lighter should i dismount all central console?
thanks!

Use a multimeter to find 12v wires MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

It is not easy to use a multimeter. I have tried everything on the cables to the radio. The inlets of the cable are very thin so you need to use a small paperclip or something. A bad connection is easily made.

Isn't there anyone that can say which color is the 12V on ignition? I assume there are a lot of devices in the car that use it...

You can maybe use a drawing pin through the wires to find a good 12v

Answer is I don't know which wire is a 12v, but should be easy enough to find, and safer too MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

As you say, there's no ignition 12V supply at the head unit.

There are, however, 3 ignition 12 supplies at the connector for the switch panel with the hazard, lock/unlock, PDC etc switch.

They are - green wire at pin 1, red wire at pin 11, green + brown wire at pin 12.

The last one may not be there if you don't have TPMS, but the other two should be there for all models Smile Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!
