England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Just picked it up.

Just got the RRS in Java Black (2.7D HSE). Traded up from a BMW M3 and can’t say we’re disappointed at all.
It makes the M3’s build quality feel really poor.
I can honestly say that it doesn’t feel anyway as slow as I thought it would. Ok, you can’t compare it to the M3, but even though I’ve been in the X5, ML270 and Cayenne, it doesn’t really feel any different (even though on paper it should). All lined up I know it would be different, but what the hell, any silly sod can put their foot down.

First impressions:
Very good build quality.
Lots of gadgets to play with.
Good SatNav system.
Good stereo.
Very good seats.
Lot of space.
A lot of car for the money.
Even the dog loves it.

Niggles:
Drivers side window switches are miles away.
Accelerator and brake pedals are very close together. Didn’t notice on the test drives, but now I’m more relaxed I notice it.

Extra’s:
Side steps
DVD’s
Blue tooth
Cargo barrier
Cargo mat
Supercharged grill and side vents (which look great against Java Black).
Refrigerated luggage (3 bottles of wine plus food)

Geoff, welcome on board and delighted you love your car!

Do you think build quality is better than BMW? I still have a 3 series and I think the Beemer is better built.

Agree with the rest, especially the SatNav, it's a superb system. Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

I wonder if Tasmod can find a company to make TURBOcharged badges in the same font and size as the Supercharged badges on the rear hatch ................ he would sell loads of them!

Good to hear you're liking it, Geoff... Cool

Am surprised to hear you think it's better built than the M3. I wouldn't agree myself, but maybe you had issues with yours Wink What I do agree with is your niggle re window switches. A few people here have mentioned this over the months. Thumbs Up

Mileage

Not quite 2000 miles yet, but we're done 600 in the first 2 days. Not too bad. Might even take it off road in the next few weeks, although not sure I want to get it dirty at the moment as it looks sooo good.
Looking forward to the off road day and from reading other peoples experience, we'll definitely up grade to a full day.

Welcome to the madhouse! Enjoy your new RRS. I notice that you live in Suffolk? I usually go away to Suffolk on most weekends - to Newmarket where I own a cottage there.

Whereabouts in Suffolk are you based? May I ask where did you get your RRS from?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum Geoff 123

I love my Superchareged - but I would say that my previous Audis have been much better built - but they do say that Audi build some of the best interiors Wink

Although I am not unhappy with the RRS , its is starting to creek a little in a few places and this is why I have returned it to the dealer this week - Monday in fact & it's still there !!! Evil or Very Mad waiting for parts to turn up to fix the rattle from behind driver - I think its in the B post , will have to wait and see tomorrow now Confused
