Anyone Got A Bluetooth Wiring Diagram

Hi all

Does anyone here have a wiring diagram for the Bluetooth PTI system in a 2005 RRS that they can send me please?. I have tried in vane to get my PTI to work but even after module updates nothing happens (cant find the RRS with any phone) so i want to trace the wiring to check something hasnt disconnected.

LR want the car all day and endless ££££ so i thought with the help of a diagram i could check it myself.

Anyone?

Thanks

Carl

I had mine retrofitted in my D3 by wiggs from the disco3 forum, but all it needed for the bluetooth to work was main power to pin 17 & 18 fed from fuse 52, power to pin 16 from the infotainment relay which is fuse 58, a negative to pin 33 & 34, and your MOST in and out, according to the wiring diagram.

When wiggs done mine, he took all the power (pin 16,17,18 ) from fuse 58 the infotainment relay, and the 2 negatives to ground plus your MOST, then enabled it in the Car Configeration File, job done.

Even tho its a D3 its the same system.

Is yours a retrofit or a module upgrade???

Hi Lee

Its factory fit but wont work. Wiggs has done the software update and tested my module in his own car so i know it works.

All i can get relating to the phone is the words "phone removed" on the radio display, no phone i have tried will find my RRS Big Cry

How do you know if your RRS is prepped for bluetooth?

There will be buttons to take and end phone calls on the underside of the steering wheel, right hand side I think.

There will also be a phone connection in the top of the centre arm rest when you open it.

There are a few cradles available that will plug in there and you can have the phone hard connected to the RRS so it charges the phone whilst you drive.

The phones that have cradles are quite old Nokias etc, not sure if there are any newer ones. Bluetooth is the most commonly used connection, just mine doesn't work Big Cry

The "phone removed" bit seems to point towards the phone connection in the centre arm rest, and according to landrover owner info

"Note: A phone docked in the cradle will always
take priority over wireless operation."

So i'm wondering if there is an error with the centre arm rest cradle, it might be worth removing this if you still have one fitted.

Hi Lee

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a cradle connected but will check that the docking station doesn't have an obvious problem with it. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi Lee

I don't suppose you know how to dismantle the phone kit in the cradle area such that I can unplug the docking station and see if that allows the Bluetooth to operate ?

Hi Carlos

The cradle on the underneath of the cubby box lid should just pull straight off the connector. I found that just dropping the lid made mine fall off Whistle

Hi Simon

I don't have a cradle fitted and want to remove the actual connector pad which is screwed on to the underside of the lid so i can see if this is stopping my bluetooth from working.
