An intermittent fault, but LR Customer Care want it "flat bedded" to the nearest Dealership (3 hours)..

New warnings include now "Suspension Fault"

Anyone had similar ills with theirs Confused:

Glad I wasn't "tempted" during the recent service to wander into the showroom.

Document it all Zilch and send Mr Cook a snottogram. That is disgraceful for a new car.

Zilch...been where you are several times during the past 8 months, nothing more embarrassing than seeing a brand new car on the back of a breakdown vehicle not once but twice!!!! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Your problems if not software issues could be a dodgy battery terminal( It was in my case but took the dealer 3 days to discover!!!!!!!!) I also had a fuel pump and injectors replaced after a major leak which almost resulted in the car bursting in to flames....Ohh almost forgot its going back to the dealers today because the air con/heater has packed up and its minus 8 this morning!!! No good Zilch, sorry to read about this..

Make sure you post a link in the Aussie section as a few do not read outside that section, and they may be looking for info.

As BKHK says.. record all your communications and the actions!

Had exactly the same on mine with a cascade effect

Its was a loose inter-cooler pipe !! which caused the fault which then tells all the other ECu's its got a problem

Mine was after 2-3 weeks as well

If it is that on yours then make sure the pipe is changed as it will have split with the back pressure. 2014 5.0SC AB

2nd i will do, log will be started.. So far today i had LR Customer Care, the Townsville dealer, RACQ to recover it all on the phone.. lot of conversations to note

WJ, interesting enough speaking to the dealer that supplied it they stated that one thing that had not done on mine was they had not provided a modified cable which could cause some issues around power output, also they suspected possibly a faulty battery, i will ping that on an email to the dealer fixing it along with your observation

Sad Zilch, that is a very sad photo of your RRS on the truck and it makes me feel a tad nervous. Hopefully they will have learnt a little from 2nd about how to treat stuff like this. eternal optimism!!

Hey Zilch - that's unforgiveable of the dealer to not have done the replacement for a known fault.

Need to see if you can get hold of any official tech bulletin from someone inside a dealership notifying dealers of the problem and the required fix.

If it does in fact exist, you have every right to make a claim for all costs incurred for the duration of the time you are without the car.

Good luck buddy 'Black Betty' Java Black RRS 07 TDV6

i think that is where Bobby comes in Thumbs Up

Bobby were you aware of any TSB's on modified Starter motor/battery cables, which could contribute to power fluctuation Thumbs Up

Tboner thanks for the heads up and i will also point my local dealer to your point.. Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Thursday update

well apparently it is being delivered back at about 7 am tomorrow morning. According to the dealer they have changed one of the power cables, which should have been done as part of a recall/TSB/mod before the vehicle left the show room/ dealer.
Since the change they have been unable to replicate the problem or fault codes. That said as it was an "intermittent" problem then there is no guarantee Rolling Eyes

Hopefully i will be able to dump the Camry tomorrow

Cheers

Recovered Again - 6 weeks old and 2 recoveries later

The problem returned within a week or so, it was intermittent, but then became progressively worse that it is guaranteed to happen within 15 minutes of driving the vehicle, Wife had to have it recovered to Northern Queesnland yesterday..

The warnings are "safety systems" related, ABS, Stabiity Control, Emergency Brake Assist etc, that in my eyes makes the vehicle inherently dangerous, if they do not fix it this time around, i am going to insist LR replace it with a new one, or i will return it, ask for my money back and walk away.. just speaking to the lease company now to find out what my options are.. Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Zilch, sorry to hear this... This is absolutely shocking for such a new car! And that (again) LR claim to have fixed it!

You have mail!
