My wife, my kids and I all have the flu at the moment and all are taking paracetamol. My wife and I take 2 tablets 3 times a day and my kids take 1 tablet 3 times a day. The pharmacist is not allowed by law to sell me more than 16 tablets in one sale! Now when I'm ill I don't really want to go out each day to buy more tablets, yes I know I could go to other outlets but this law is just mad! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I've just read that this law was introduced because of the 200 deaths a year caused by accidental overdoses of paracetamol - the government hoped that the law will reduce the number of deaths by 10% (20) I'm sorry but for the inconvenience etc let the 20 die, how many more people have walked in front of vehicles when ill trying to get their daily dose of legal paracetamol?

You should be able to buy 1 pack of 32 or two packs of 16 paracetamol in one sale, so your pharmacist does not know the law.

If you have a "trade" Costco Card as opposed to a private member card then you can buy the multipacks of Panadol Advance 500mg. There are 96 pills in 6 x 16 packs in each multipack and they are only about £3.00!!
