Customer service is what buying a car is all about, especially for me anyway, ive not spent this kinda cash on a car before and i need to be 100%. i will consider writing to RR about the poor standard of demonstrators available but i dont think anything will sway me now.

I got a reply from LR Customer Care. All in all i wasnt expecting much and at least they have said sorry for my bad experience. Hopefully they will have a look at how my dealer operates.

Good morning Mr "HANGOVER"

It is with regret to read your email and learn the Land Rover marque will not be your choice this time around.

As you rightly say, first impressions count and certainly the experience afforded to you by Mlychreests has obviously not been a good one and is not reflective of the service we would wish you to encounter.

My sincere apologies on behalf of Land Rover. Whilst I am mindful of your details not being relayed to Mylchreests, I will forward your details to the Regional Area Manger within Land Rover directly for perusal as feedback both favourable or otherwise is very much appreciated.

I trust one day you may be interested in looking once again at the Land Rover brand, thanking you for your initial interest.

Kind regards

Hardly gone out of their way to make you change your mind.

If this was me inreceipt of your complaint, I would have done everything possible to try and change your mind.

If that failed, at least you would remember next time round that I took your business seriously and valued your custom.

This is appalling and sounds like a standard response.

The least they could have done was send you round 5 of the finest dancing girls for the evening... Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Well if 2 or possibly 3 (im sure i could handle 3) semi naked dancing girls had shown up at my house in a S/C sport i might have been converted and signed there and then... maybe your onto a winner with that and LR should consider it as a marketing tool!

You are right they havent gone outta thier way to change my mind, no offer of an alternate test drive with a dealer across the pond who actually have a S/C or a TD6 with no warning lights showing..

But as i said i wasnt expecting much from them...

I have decided to bide my time, stick with my E39 M5 and put a deposit down on an M3, i do like the new M5s but i think the new M3 is going to be special too.

I just dont know if i can physically wait a full year or more for the m3... lol
