mystery wires hanging down near exhaust

I had the car on a ramp today to change the fuel filter.

I noticed 2 wires hanging down (see picture). They are white and yellow wires with a multiplug on the end. The wires seem to come down from the boot space on the right and side of the car (UK drivers side) and they are hanging loose below the exhaust.

anyone got a clue as to what these are or have they come loose from something?

Regards

Muff

ps. spot the snow and slush all over the undercarriage this morning. It's snowing hard here today

I'll have to go and check my car (if this snow stops), but I'm sure thats the wiring for the TPMS. Even if your car hasn't got this option the wiring is there. The plug should clip into a hole in the rear of the rear arch liner.

I had the same concern when I found mine hanging and my friendly master tech explained about it and clipped it back up, lol 2007 RRS TDV8 Stornaway Grey with lots of smiles..

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

I wondered if you could fit the other bits i.e. sender unit etc to get this working, but not sure how involved it is.

I had the same wiring come un clipped on my previous RRS? It clips into the wheel arech liner somewhere. I also didnt (and still don't) really know what it is but i was also told it was TPMS. Nothing to worry about, just clip it back and ignire it kike Sizzle says...
