washer jets not working

hi guys,

problem with washer jets after recent cold weather, jets on headlamps are working fine but no water from bonnet jets or rear window. I suspect some connection has come loose but I cant see it when i open the bonnet does anyone have any suggestions?

Youve got to remove the under bonnet sound proofing to get to the electrical connections and hoses for the nozzles. You have to unclip them from underneath and push them out of the bonnet.

One of mine stopped working as well recently but was easily sorted once I took it off the car and cleaned it out with a fine needle. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

check the relay is clicking when you push the button

If you have the ignition on and push the washer button and you should hear a click from the pass side foot well and also hear the motor running under the bonnet. IF not its likely the fuse, i had a similar problem.

I replaced the std fuse last winter but it kept blowing so i stuck a slightly larger one in it a 15amp (or maybe 20amp) and its never caused a problem since

Check the manual as they might have separate fuses. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

It's the fuse blown, replace it with a 20 amp one and all is fine (the fusebox is under the dash on the passenger's side and the fuse itself is a swine to get at). The headlamp washers are on a different fuse to the front & rear washers, hence the headlamp ones still working.

My RRS did exactly the same thing last winter, it's a Censored trying to wash the windscreen on the M5 with only the the overspray from the headlamp washers Laughing Ex-G4 Challenge RRS HSE, BV55 YZE. Subtle shade of orange ! Now registered YZE481 G4RRS in Melbourne.

To access the fuse box, just carefully take the right hand side of the glove box out of the 'runner' its in. Once released, the glove box will drop down, revealing the fuse box Smile ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

What a super resource this place is. There it was, red 10A fuse number 11 behind the fuse box. Thumbs Up Get a 2005-2009 RRS (FAH500210) sat nav/dash mat here - the one that wasn't there when you bought the car.

Spiffing wheel centre caps available

Hi Guys, I am a new member and apologise for jumping in on an old thread however I felt this was the best place as you may have experience of my problem. My RRS just failed its NCT (MOT) because the headlamp washer jets dont work. They did but now dont and I am not sure how long this is the case but relatively recently. I have checked the fuses in the glove compartment and under the hood and all ok. I cannot find the relay. I removed the bumber and no sign of a blockage so it is either the relay or pump (I am aware the lights need to be on and every 3 times). Can anyone help with suggestions or location of the relay assuming there is a relay dedicated to the washer jets?
