Got another call from the broker last night with a bit of bad news. The RRS gets pick up today from Holland and will be in Dover Friday night the thing is the transport company dont work over the weekend. Can go down there and pick her up but it not registered yet so well have to drive it back with no plates on it. Sure if the popo see me like that they will stop me a good few times. Or i can just hold on till Monday/Tuesday and it will be delivered to my door was hoping to get her today so i can pop up to my sister's over the weekend looks like it's gonna be a trip in the 1 Smile RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I know the feeling............. my Sport was purchased on launch day and was in the dealer's showroom but it took 8 days to get my cherished number transferred from my RRTD6. It was very frustrating!
If the importer is going to deliver it to your front door then the wait will be worthwhile, hope they bring it on a covered trailer and don't let some spotty youff wiff a back to front Burberry baseball cap welly it all the way from Harwich to your home. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The broker did say he can get someone to drive it up but that's like 100+ miles on the car before i get it and i payed for a car with delivery miles not one with 150. it will be delivery on a trailer don't know if it will be a covered one tho Smile RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

Not quite like VA... sorry to hear about the delay, Jay! When it gets there it will be all the sweeter. If you can push for a covered trailer, do it. Mine comes from a dealer in Shrewsbury and they delivered it to me in Hampshire... trouble was, the trailer they brought it on was on open low-loader and the weather was pi**ing with rain, so I never got to see it with the showroom shine on it! It was a bit disappointing but at least I'd got it... Very Happy

If you're at all worried, Kevin, especially being where you are, then maybe it's not the best thing to get done. All the usual players, Turbochips, JE etc will all tell you it's harmless and personally I've no doubt it is but if you can't satisfy that in your own mind then it sounds like your decision is made Smile

Why is it that sound advice is always depressing? Reading the rest of the posts this evening I tend to agree, it doesn't REALLY need the chipping; if I'd wanted the extra wellie I should have bought the S/C and few petrol stations.

Nuff said, problem solved. I'll give it a miss ('til next time) Big Cry RRS TDV6 (gone)

I think when they go over and pick the car up they pick like 8 cars up in one go.

So even if i do ask for a covered trailer it will only be from Dover RRS TDV6 Gone but still around
