My local LR dealer obviously lifted the whole body off. I know this because when they put it back together they managed to get the steering wheel at an angle when the wheels are straight ahead. I put this down to having disconnected the steering column and then getting it one (or more) splines out when putting it back together. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi there, Mine is leaking from the top of this pipe, the leak is where the arrow is and was wondering if the pipe can be replaced or repaired, it’s at the front drivers side on my 2010 rrs. Neutral

Dreaded Anti Roll Bar warning - Ouch!

I have a 2012 RRS 3.0 Autobiography. I love it.

But took it in for a look this morning to Famous Four as the ACE Stability warning came on a couple of days ago. Topped it up but clearly, that is not the issue. As had oil on the driveway today.

They said it needed a Front ARB and front pipes. Quote is £2142.15 + VAT if it doesn't need the control block then its 1567.20 + VAT.

Lots of oil on the undertray and clearly leaking from above there, but I could see that without taking the tray off difficult to see from where.

What a stupid design of system. The crazy bends of the front pipes are not really necessary (one of which was leaking as rusty. Unsurprising given its location and exposure. It would have been easier to fit Braided hoses but non standard connections make that very difficult.

So it's either drive it like miss daisy and live with the warning, or spend 2.5K to fix it. That is just for the front! I hate to think what the rear would be.

They said they were very confident it would not need a block, but until they try to replace the pipes they could not tell.

The other bombshell was, well if you have driven it then it might need a pump as you will have damaged it by driving it!

I didn't even ask what the price of that was!

Any advice on whether I am better off getting the parts which seem to be way less than a grand and having my normal garage fit it?

OK, don't drive without ACE fluid. The pump will seize, take out the serpentine belt, and then you're stuck on the side of the road.

I have a 2006 RRS with the sports upgrade (ACE & Brembo's)

3 years ago, the metal ACE pipe near the front stabilizer cracked. Spent about $5k AUD with Land Rover getting all the pipes replaced and a replacement front stabilizer (which was NQR). System failed within a week and another front stabilizer was installed.

Jump to early this year and one of the flexible pipes leading to the front stabilizer burst (the ones you can see when you take the front right wheel off). On checking they were dated '2010', so were old stock when installed 3 years earlier. I emergency taped the hole. Ran for a while, and blew another hole in the same hose. Patched again and then blew a third hole in the same hose.

Took it to a local specialist who could not get the pipes, so put in a secondhand set, with a view to get rid of the car within a few months. Well, I didn't and last week. burst hose again.

So, a bit of research indicates it's the 'inbound' pipe to the front actuator, so that is probably blocked and causing the burst at what is the weak point of the system. I'm not interested in fixing it again, but am now considering cutting both flexible pipes off and putting a 'U' shaped bit of hose in to completely bypass the front stabilizer.

I'm currently driving it with the ACE fuses out. It's certainly doesn't go as hard around corners, but it's certainly not going to spear off a cliff or anything without ACE.

Well it's fixed. New ARB and pipes to the distribution unit.

£2100!!!

Famous four in Louth.

Great to drive again.
