Land Rover Bikes

What do we all think about the Land Rover Bike Range, anybody have one or is thinking of buying, with so many bikes to choose from these days what is so special about them and who do you think the target market is, looking at one myself but would like some feedback.

http://www.landrover.com/gb/en/lr/owners/m...ver-bikes/

Thanks

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Last time I looked at them they were grossly overpriced for what they were, especially the "up market" versions with full suspension. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Bought my son a Land Rover Zamora for christmas couple of years ago - unpacked and assembled christmas day and discovered it had a broken mech hanger in transit Sad

Since then rear axle has snapped or bent and been replaced 6 times at our expense as they claim he damaged it off road yet on their website they say -

Quote:
Land Rover mountain bikes are designed to be extremely capable off-road

Wrote to customer service and they did not even reply.

He now only uses it on roads for fear of damage/repairs as he has spent more fixing the bike than he paid for it Big Cry Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

Mrs Rupert & I both have Land Rover G4 Challenge bikes.

While we're not into serious off-road action on them, they have served us well, with no issues whatsoever since we got them.

I'm sure i read that LR bikes are just orange Claud Butlers or something

I bet youll pay a premium just for the LR painted on and it will be no better than the one its based on

Nick

Exactly what i was going to say, whatever the cost of the bikes are, take that money to a reputable bike dealer and buy a much better bike for same money

Regards

Peter

There are a million better bikes out there that would cost you far less.
