I've been to a jeepclub event before and they were a friendly bunch, they didn't mind gate crashers in non jeeps either. Let me know if you do decide to go. heu... when you talk abt sand everywhere... is it in a interior way or an engine cleaning issue way??? Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

The engine and interior cleaned up ok but all of the plastic mouldings at the bottom of the doors got filled with sand from going through (and getting stuck in) the water runs. Everytime I washed the car more sand would appear at the bottom of the doors. Same for the plastic mouldings at the bottom of the bumpers, the intercooler radiator and also the air compressor housing for the suspension was full of sand which made it very noisy. There are good posts on disco3 though on how to clean all of these areas after going off road.

I can second that been there many times in the jeep and a few times in brothers D3. Although a standard RRS or D3 is more than capable of doing most of the site the sand and water is brutal on brakes etc.

Jeep 4.0 High Output XJ 94 6" teraflex lift, c/w rear coils, 9500lb winch, 35" TSL super swamper boggers, safari snorkel, custom made bumpers, tom woods custom double cardon driveshaft, twin electric fans. Don't follow it..............you wont make it. The first 4 x 4 by far.

In future I would prefer mud to sand as it's much easier to clean the car after. On the plus side though sand being so soft does minimise the risk of any real damage.
