New build advice wanted

Hi all, This is my first post here. I am about to order a MY11 RRS with the following spec and would like to hear what anyone thinks of it.

Range Rover Sport TDV6
Fuji White exterior (new colour for MY11)
Almond Beige interior

Fitted with
Rear Electronic Differential
Surround Camera System
Adaptive BiXenon Headlights
Park Distance Control - Front
Tow Pack
19 x 9" 5 V-Spoke Alloy Wheels Style 1
Memory Pack
Cold Climate Pack
Premium Leather
Carpet Mat Set
Hybrid TV System

Also, I may add the Adaptive Dynamics and Dynamic Response, however on the MY11 thay are only available as a combined pack at around $5500. Has anyone had experience with the combo and is it worth it?

I intend ordering in the next day or two for December delivery.

Thanks

Hello and welcome!

Although TV Hybrid is "kind of" nice to have... I fail to see the point of it unless you are a driver who'll be waiting for his client outside while he is in the meeting... I was considering to order one too, but as you may guess I did not go ahead with it. Everything else is useful, ESPECIALLY the surround cameras, you won't be using the front cameras much though. Vadim A.

Thanks for the TV advice, that confirms what I thought and I have deleted it from my wish list. I have decided to add the dynamic pack, which in Oz only includes the Adaptive Dynamics and Dynamic Reesponse for 5500 dollars.

I think the 18" wheels will be better off-road and hopefully won't affect on-road handling too much.

I have been quoted a total build price of 125,000 dollars with a November build and January delivery. It will feel like a long wait but at least it will have a 2011 compliance plate and it might be worth a bit more at trade-in time.

Very excited!

Hydronic, welcome and there are a few forum members down in Sunny melbourne.

2005/2006 models actually came with 18" as standard, i run mine on them, ride is perfect, its when you go 20" plus it start to get a bit hairy ... Look out for BKHK and 2nd Rower, you local Sport fraternity in Melbourne

Welcome Hydronic. Your spec looks good. I am wondering what to do when I change in around 18 months since I just can't fathom spending over $100k on an RRS. Even a 2011 compliance plate will not save you from the dreaded depreciation, I will probably go 1 year old next time and drive a hard bargain, there are quite a lot for sale.

Welcome!! Only my opinion but I would change the interior colour, either Ebony or the Orange that they do, white with almond is a bit to American for me. I would also put the Tv back onto the list. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Not if H is thinking of going off road on the 18"s, the sidesteps will just get broken, most off roading includes washouts, rock steps etc, the Side Steps would not last long... Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

I will delete the telly as I can always watch on my laptop if necessary and the screen is bigger.

I will definitely go with tint to reduce the effect of the light interior visible against the white from outside. I really want the light interior after 6 years of a black on black Jeep Cherokee.

I have never liked sidesteps, so they are a no no. But rock rails hmmmm.. now that would be nice.

My last post had a typo on the wheels - they will be 19" as 18"'s are not available. I'll have to avoid sharp rocks.

I am thinking of deleting the adaptive headlights as I have realised the cornering lights are standard and should do the job most of the time and the adaptives are pretty subtle in their operation.

Does anyone have thoughts on the best roof rails - factory or aftermarket?

Tomorrow is order day. It looks like I have missed the October build though.

I had a quote for tracks, rails, bars and kayak carriers from Roof Rack City in Sydney, OEM not LR, still mounted the same, about half the price of LR, who quoted only for tracks and rails Shocked

Question, are they the same as on the pre MY10 model ? Must be some equivalent companies selling OEM down Melbourne way Another Pommie Bar Steward down under
