What have LR Done to my Sport.....?

I don't know what the ECU reprogramme has done to my TDv6 but it is a different car! Even better than it was before the brain transplant. It is more responsive, quieter and much much more frugal on the gojuice.
I have hjust returned from a 150 mile round trip on fast A roads where 60 is the speed limit..... but you know how tempting it is in a great car to go that wee bitty faster. I drove the 110 miles on road bit pretty fast on the A82/A83 and then had 5 hours of offroad driving on mainly hard packed forestry roads but also a considerable amount of gloppy mud requiring the Mud setting and Low Ratio and I have got home and the trip computer is showing an average of 28.2mpg for the day of fun..............if it can stay like this then a trip to the south next week should be easily done in one tank! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

On that route 25/26 best, and without any offroad driving in low box. In general driving 23-25 depending on whether I want to attach my lead right foot or old man's flat hat. I don't do any commuter type driving and most runs are 16-20 miles into Glasgow or Stirling. For me Stirling is easilest and most economical as it is almost a straight line and a fast A road with just the odd little hill, so it's all 6th gear stuff 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I think Kam holds the feather weighted right foot prize..... he managed 31.4mpg on the trip computer on a motorway run and I am determined to better that 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

My sport drinks about the same as my M3. I only get around 17-18 mpg, either i drive it too hard or there's something wrong, lol 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE

...and it's new Hiten Smile I can't say I've ever been as low as 17mpg in mine, but the economy definitely perked up once the engine had "settled in". I'm surprised you only get 17-18mpg out of your M3... I used to get 20/21mpg out of mine, but then I had a proper gearbox Wink
