United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver
THE BEST TYRES FOR THE RANGE ROVER SPORT

Hi guys i thought i would open a can off worms, I have a two and half year RR sport TD V8 HSE or i will have when DVLC gives the word back that my plate has been transfered on to it, maybe a week yet, anyway it has pirrellis fitted to it, i dont know how many miles they have done but they are all down to 5mm, so when it comes to changeing them what make would you go for the sizes are 275 x 40 x 20" i will be doing 99.9% road but given last winter i would like to be prepaird. With seeing so many reports that they scrub tyres and they wear out quickly, i thought i would get some advice from you guys, thanks in advance. RANGE ROVER 3.6 TD V8 HSE ZERMATT SILVER BLACK LEATHER. AC COBRA 5.7 V8.................. LIVE FOR TODAY COS TOMORROW MAY NEVER ARRIVE,,,,

For pure road use I'd go for General UHP. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

The pirellis scorpions are the best imo. The wear evenly and last ages. Also pretty good off road (for a road tyre). Not cheap though which is why alot of people look for alternatives. WINNER - 2008 Best All New Photograph

I think the Perelli Scorpions are a good general purpose tyre that are long lasting and will enable you to do some off-roading, but if you want an outright performance tyre that offers maximum grip (sacrificing longevity) then the Advan ST are a much better tyre. However, the Advan's won't really offer you any type of offroad ability so you would need a second set of rims with offraod tyres if you plan to do any form of serious offroad driving. 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I found the Pirelli on my TDv8 wore very well over 2 years and 10months/ 27000 miles, I only replaced them 3 weeks ago after destroying one and doing quite a bit of sidewall damage to another on a large pothole and as there was less than 4mm left on the other two it made sense to replace the lot - especially as the local tyre dealer was doing a 4 for the price of 3 deal on Pirellis. I was very happy with them and am delighted that my new car has Pirellis, and not Continentals. Pity though that BF Goodrich don't make tyres suitable for Range Rovers - my Defender went 59000 on it's first set and I only changed them because of lack of adhesion when offroad - the new (4 years old!) set have run 17000 and still look new despite some pretty severe treatment offroad

The best tyres I have ever had on a Land Rover were Avon Turbospeeds that I had on a Disco1 V8 that never ever went offroad and lasted 65000 miles before their wet weather performance was a bit lacking!! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I have to admit you are all wrong the hankook are the best go up to a 275/45/20 and the ride comfort improves dramatically. I have had on mine goodyear eagle F1 useless loud and crap on anything other than tarmac. Michelin pilots again useless and do not last. Contis don't go there.

My Hankooks were £115 each fitted and so far have 25k on then and are only partially worn I have off roaded and they have been great very little noise and grip is amazing plus they are half the price of most others. if you don't like them i will buy them off you!!

Totally agree, had them on my Lexus RX300 and now have 4 waiting to fit to RRS, ATS quoted me £185 fitted each, ebay £90 each and £10 each to fit at my local garage Thumbs Up
