Thx guys, but I want to be able to hookup my i Pod Touch so as it will work via the steering wheel rocker switches for volume and fast forward etc.
At the moment I have it wired via 3.5mm plug to the rear passengers socket...... I can't beleive LR didn't think that the driver might actually want to use his iPod whilst driving as well
I'm also using the rear fag socket for charging......the lead shwon in teh link says it charges and allows integration of steering wheel functions etc...... so do I need to buy another interface or summat?

Mines a 2008 RRS SC.....

A bit more of an update.
I found the interface in the US for around $645.....my initial thoughts were so I tried a few dealers in the UK as well.
One has come back with a price of 200 quid which isn't so bad but I would have to install it myself. At this time they don't know if the unit comes with instalation instructions....so my next question is "has anyone fitted one of these ACM's and how easy was it?
Do I have to pull the inside of the car apart to get access to the plugs etc?

I had the interface fitted to mine with the cradle to hold it and it DID charge it and it DID work using the steering wheel buttons BUT they fitted it behind the wiper stalk so you couldnt see what you were doing without taking it out of the cradle!! It will change track but doesnt let you select playlists just forward each track one at a time!! Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.
