Alloy Wheels need refurbishing!!

Hi All,

I own a RRS Supercharged, my alloys have been scratched (kerb damage). Can anyone recommend someone in the London/Essex area who are good at refurbishing alloys? How much should I typically look to pay, and does refurbishing actually work???

Any help/info/tips would be greatly appreciated!

Ibby

2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

There are some great refurbishers and some very bad ones.

Nearly all will look good when you drive away ( many will just smart repair which maybe ok at £30 a wheel if you are selling or returning car to dealer etc.) but bad ones dont last long before need doing again! Need to do a proper job to do a good long term finish.

Ken from D3 and Defender sites will definitely know a good company to use but wheels will need to go away Thumbs Up

All Land Rover alloy wheels bigger than 19" have special kerb magnets built-in................................ they are especially attracted to big hefty granite kerbs, but lower concrete kerbs will attract them just as well!
I never get the smart 16" Zu alloy wheels on my Defender scuffed, even in the most serious rock crawling situations off-road. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Most dealers seem to just get a local mobile place in to do them. They rarely refurbish wheels themselves. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

The average price varies between £45/£60 per wheel having it been done professionally.

Worth getting done as long as your extra careful once done. I've had my 22inch kahns done and they look mint.

@ Harry HST: Oh, thanks for sharing price. I think I have paid more than that when last time, but still the work doesn’t seem satisfactory. I’ll really appreciate if you could please recommend me the dealers who could do this professionally at low rate, thanks.
