Good Grief Thud What were LR thinking using Victoria Beckham Rolling Eyes Has anyone watched the video
of the launch? She couldn't even think of anything to say and faltered over her words! Didn't LR think it might have been a good idea to script her. She even said that she "liked a challenge" Not exactly a rousing endorsment of saleability of the new EVOQUE then Rolling Eyes ...... They shoot.... they score.... but it's in their own net Whistle If I was them I'd drop her like a hot spud and get someone that can at least string a sentence together for any future PR events. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Overall think will reserve judgement until seen in the flesh. Confused

It would appear to be aimed much more at the younger age groups or people with no kids. The design seems more for style than function as with other Landrovers before.

As for 2 wheel drive this is due to the Labour goverment, more than anything else. As car manufacturers are judged on carbon missions which are averaged across all the range of models they produce, Landrover needs a low emmisions model to off set the larger producing co2 models it produces.

Needs to be a success so us real 4wd drivers can afford and still obtain cars that we know, love and want.

As for VB would of been nice for a smile or 2 to express how much joy and fun she was experiencing in launching this new model Exclamation

Well at least they stuck with the initial concept look. Shame they didn't do that with the Stormer concept. I like the look of it and will look forward to seeing the Beckam internal design features........ Whistle Perhaps some of them will be carried over to the RRS. Laughing

I think I prefer the much more practical Q5. Just as well really Exclamation TDV6 - gone

Well, the proof is in the pudding................

It is not often that our card machine rattles off 7 transactions before lunchtime, however it has today!! This excludes the many other enquiries that we have had on top. Shocked

Subject to final spec's and prices, there have been several people who have registered a firm 'interest' in the vehicle. It has taken us by suprise as to how well it has been recieved. Cool

James Thumbs Up

I think it looks amazing and will be a great success story for LR. You know what guys we are beginning to should like the FFRR guys when they slagged the sport off when it first came out......and how they don't think its a proper RR. Ok so it 2WD, how many of us use our 4WD to serious effect? And how many of you would know for sure if I put you in an Audi for eg and changed between a 4WD and a 2WD.....many of us on a normal run would not know the difference. Ok they should have just left the name at LRX....but it's a cracking looking car and it will push the profile of the name up further than ever before. And in these times we need it, and if it creates another 1000 jobs, then good on LR

Now let's all hold hands and pray....... Smile

I second Nick.
The Evoque will be a Mini killer. First time I saw it, thought it was a winner. Reminds the first Lunar Rover from the late 70's Apollo moon missions.
This will be a fantastic success car. 2010 TDV6 3.0 HSE Santorini Black Tan Full Leather

James,
If I were in the UK, I would. My wife still drives an ugly BMW 1 Series. As soon the Evoque is up and running,
I'll put a down payment for it.
Fantastic design, fantastic interior too judging by many pics I saw.
Wow… And I say it again : WOW. 2010 TDV6 3.0 HSE Santorini Black Tan Full Leather
