I have a real problem with birds, no not because I have that good looking, senior and authoritive sex appeal, but because the rats with wings nest in my house and cr p on my beautiful car. I have always hand washed my own car and am meticulous, if I drop a sponge on the drive, it goes in the bin. But i had some bird s t on the bonnet and had to work a bit harder to wash it off with a sponge. Now every stroke of the sponge can be seen in definate scratches and swirls where I have cleaned it. It is really bad, what can be done? already shot ther birds, but what about my bonnet? purple people eater

The bird :censored:might contain grit which is held against the paint and stratch due to the sponge holding it against the paint

ditch the sponge and buy a wool wash mitt and a deep pile microfibre drying towel

few places I have bought from, polishedbliss, elitecarcare, clean your car(Huddersfield)

bird Can be acidic too so if left can etch the paintwork, maybe a good durible wax once you have sorted the scratches out (or before) to help protect a little
