Looking forward to hearing these results. Maybe some of the other tuners might get a push on their maps now? |

In conversation with the people at Superchips they said that the new 3.0 litre engine had caused some problems. The ECU could not be remapped via the diagnostic port so their Bluefin product was a non starter. It was going to have to be a remap of the ECU which would be non switchable. Just have to hope the dealer doesn't notice or that's the warranty out of the window!! Probably shouldn't have posted here jst in case. Ho Hum

I had a modded Evo before and the ECU was easy to get to and remove. Not sure how easy the RRS ECU is to get to but you could always get a second ECU to swop round if a warranty claim comes up.

Your brave being the first person! I'd only remap mine if it had been proven by a number of other people. I hope your getting a big discount by being the guinea pig. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

if i was ever foolhardy enough to have my new MY10 3.0TDV6 chipped I would be saying Wow what a difference, brings the car alive, shame about voiding the insurance and warranty, but what the hell mind the quality and feel the width as well purple people eater

Being done for free. This will be the third car of mine that Superchips have done from new. I have always felt very well looked after and the cars have always shown a marked improvement both in performance and economy. Just not the two things at the same time!! KeithM Keith M |

Have always told the insurance companies what I do and they have always covered it, at a price. As far as warranty is concerned "if you can't take a joke, you shouldn't have joined". I would only have myself to blame if it all goes wrong, and I can live with that. Regards KeithM Keith M |

That is the way to view it, and good to see you going into it with your eyes wide open, as you have done in the past. As Richard says, make sure you tell us how you get on! |
