And 9 over 10 options are priced 10 to 20 % dearer outside UK
But I was along a Q7 and a X5 this morning, and Holy Ghost, those cars are really ugly
(especially the Q7, which is hugely ugly).

DPF doesn't work upside down. Here in Australia my 2009 had a DPF but don't know about UK spec.

Difficult to say as you also have after market exhaust tips or even an aftermarket exhaust fitted as they are even bigger tail pipes than the 5.0ltr S/C tips 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
