MY10 Phone operation?

Reading the manual am I correct in thinking if we select the phonebook we can then scroll thru
the entries via the "hard" buttons << >> on the left steering wheel control pad? Well we can't... Is this right?

Cheers

In 17.5 hours I too will be able to 'play' . How did you persuade the dealer to deliver the car early? What type of iPhone have you tried (2G, 3g, 3GS etc) . Does your iphone have the most receent update on it (i have held off until now). I will try with my phone in the morning and see how I get on.
Surely others will have raised this on the forums if it was a generic problem with the RRS 2010MY.

Have loads of off road parking and they were glad to shift before the rush tomorrow.

3GS iPhone with the latest up-dates. Unless it's me not too impressed with the interface so far...

One thing that really annoys me about the phone in the MY10 is that you can't switch the keyboard to qwerty when browsing the phonebook. I have to look at the screen carefully to find the buttons which means taking my eye's off the road! Why can't you choose they keyboard layout like you can with the satnav? WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

But can you scroll through your list of onscreen contacts with the steering wheel buttons?

Also, if I highlight a contact on the screen and push the green dial on the wheel it doesn't dial the highlighted
contact, instead calls the last voice command dialled contact... There seems to be no interface from wheel phone controls to touchscreen.

"should you be dialling whilst driving"

Why not, it's hands free? I'm not holding a phone.

Think the issue is with the 3GS iPhone According to LR 3G is OK but not 3GS
