2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Giverney Green

Transmission problem?

I've noticed when I approach an intersection and slow down but do not come to a complete stop and then accelerate (this BTW is called a California stop) the engine RPM goes up and then the transmission will engage with an abrupt clunk? Just curious, anyone out there had that happen
