Hehe... Very Happy
Nah don't worry about it mate..

The Volvo, is surprisingly a very good car, its image and brand may not be the same as the German lot or the Range Rover name that we are all used to, but after driving it through rush hour last night, going out in it last night with a load of mates, and then taking my mum to town this morning.. its a very comfortable car.

Seats are the comfy'est seats i think i have ever had in a car, the headrests are superb and sit right against you're neck the padding is very supportive and the feel is top quality leather. Engine pulls well, and satisfies you with a lot of wheelspin when you move off sharply.. (miss front wheel drive sometimes) although in the wet this is very noticeable like this morning..averaging 33.4mpg town driving so consumption is very good.

Steering is mostly good, wafty feel, but when cornering its a little too heavy.
Functions on stereo and dash are good, and setting 2 on the heated seats doesn't burn your arse like on the RRS. All in all good quality motor, best courtesy car i've had for a while. Even 180'd very well in a car park last night, must be that heavy long ass on the car.

No i don't abuse hire/courtesy cars (well not anymore then the next man), had an empty car park covered in ice so couldn't resist! It went round perfectly, and if anyone was watching they may have even thought i was a good driver!!

Just been put on hold for about 5 mins while they find out progress on my car....he then came back and said car should be ready tommorow, just waiting on some parts on order depending on when they arrive, we will call you tommorow.

When i asked what had actually been diagnosed as the problem here and what parts were on order, he said well i don't know that sir, will have to speak to the blokes and get back to you on that.

Doesn't inspire me with confidence that this issue will be sorted out, i hate being fobbed off anyway, let alone with an issue that might have killed my family members/me, or may kill in the future if the trucks and other road users weren't positioned the way that they had been.

He just rang back..
Parts on order: ECU for parking system.
Front Seat Pad needs replacing (so i wasn't imagining it).
Spring noise from front right of car is under investigation as is engine cutting out issue. I stressed the importance of the cutting out issue and emphasised that if this is not rectified, its a life threatening fault, and he agreed.. Also told him everythings on record here, so it must be sorted out.

He said car would be roadtested (joy ridden he should have said - to see if problem is rectified - like that will show it up).

If something is to happen to me in my RRS guys in the next few months, on the motorway, then carry out revenge for me!!

Just rang them, and they told me the car and issue has had to be reverted to LR customer services, as the technicians have no clue! so Volvo is going to be with me for a little while more.. good thing, i put some fuel in it last night and being a tight wad i didn't want to give it back refuelled!

Nice to hear you have a problem that your service dept can't resolve. Even better is that they admitted as much! I'd have expected "We couldn't find anything wrong with it, but feel free to bring it back in if it happens again" by now!! Wink
