Urgent help needed re: front suspension

Car in stealers today. They have removed the dampers in order to stop the front suspension knocking sound. Is this a quick fix or the correct fix? Big Cry

Thank you thank you. I knew i saw that somewhere but could not find it. Stealer was a bit put out when i said there was other stuff to do. Its yeovil LR. Bit put out with them cause the loner was clean on outside but inside was a mess. My car was immaculate inside and if i was in a suit it would of been ruined. The car (freelander) was a 59 plate with only 2500 on clock so not old. Will kick ass in morn but bet they have not got the damper kit in stock. Cheers again shmoogle your a star. Thumbs Up

Here is a question for Bobby (Kuala Lumpar) and Shmoogle (GB).....

Spoke to stealer this morning about LTB 00241 and they have said there is a more recent bulletin (this month). However, they would not give me the number. They have removed the dampers and are re-newing the ball joints. Are they fobbing me off or is this the proper fix?

Do you have a copy for me to look at? Or can you give me some idea what was in it?

Thanks

Car home now after being with stealer. They would not discuss this new bulletin but have ordered the mass damper kit. They've done the ball joints and removed the dampers. For the boot leak they have ordered a new boot seal. Everything on back order at mo too, so no date when they want it back Rolling Eyes . Is the car OK to drive without the kit having been fitted? Oh and met Nick (Yeovil). What a nice guy he is Cool . He said he will chase up the stuff needed for me due to me being part of this forum. Very Happy

Three cheers for Martin Bow down
