I know I know...just chafes a bit when you see people really trying their hardest to pretend it is what it isn't.

Fair point, although I'd stop at replacing your HSE lettering with a SC badge... that's the same as sticking an M3 badge on the boot of your 318 (and not even bothering replacing the bonnet, wheels, wings, exhausts, seats, SMG gearstick, pale grey speedo dials and anything else that makes an M3 visibly different from a standard 3 series coupe) |

I agree the SC badge is a step too far, too much effort IMO. |

To be perfectly honest - If I had chosen the TDV6 ( very nearly did ) I would have specked it with dynamic pack - changed the grills/vents - added the JE Engineering exhaust - had it chipped - changed to black badges = JOB DONE

Yep, v true. I think some of the ACS kit on BMWs looks really good though as long as it all hangs together properly. I went on a BMW event a couple of years ago and they had a few cars from their press fleet there, a lot of which had ACS trimmings (a fully ACS'd 7 series looked very good!) but when you get what we've been describing it's a) silly looking and b) financially pointless as you found out Kam... Max Power magazine should have a new strapline... "You're wasting your time, fools." |
