Sheffield - Man Down :(

Black RRS spotted the wrong side of a stone wall near the Fox House this morning

Looked like light/moderate damage unlikely to have injured the occupants

A timely reminder that the laws of physics still apply, especially to cars with 20" low profile tyres

On the other hand Id have never have got here in a BMW:

Cheers!

Difficult to know exactly what happened

Its a 90 degree bend on a junction I have respect for even in the dry

It may have been hit by a vehicle entering from the side, but the fact remains its at the bottom of a decent hill where any clumsy braking will be hazardous

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

That's my back garden wall he went through!!!
You didn't take a picture of him through the wall by any chance did you?
Unfortunately he hasn't left his details but I managed to get his number plate for The National Trust before it was recovered but before I had taken a picture.
I was told by a guest at the pub who saw him do it,he recons he was doing 50mph which I find a bit hard to believe
but he must have been going far too fast to demolish 5 yards of dry stone wall which is going to cost him a fortune when the police track him down. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Tim and VA
I know it's great isn't it.I went down the road in the photo to get my morning paper on almost 5" of virgin snow it was geat fun.
Forgot to mention when I went up to take a photo they had taken the car but had left a very expensive pair of "IC!" titanium spectacles behind, shame he didn't bother to pop in before he left to leave me his details that would have saved him about £500 to replace them Laughing
Obviously I'll hand them into the police at Bakewell in the hope they aren't claimed, will make a great spare pair of readers Very Happy

I wonder if there is somebody lurking on the forums who owns a damaged Java RRS....................................... to take out 5m of stone dyking must have caused a fair bit of damage to the car, even if the wall was covered with snow, 2.7tonnes of RRS still suffers damage. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Maybe the local recovery firms will hold the details Of the RRS Idea

hope you find them, that sort of crash will still cost lot to repair and another few grand won't make any difference to next years insurance premium Evil or Very Mad

Small world!

Sorry Chris, I had my Nikon in the boot and did think about taking a pic however decided it would have been in bad taste at the time.

On the other hand I can tell you the first 2 letters and 2 numbers of his plate (but no more) if it helps you
Also it was black with a tan interior and if I had to guess would say a TDV8

On our return it was being recovered onto a medium sized flat bed truck which looks similar to the one owned by the guys near your newsagent however dont quote me on that Smile

My gut feeling as to the cause - entirely presumptive naturally - is far too much speed, in fact it just looked so totally reckless I even wondered if it had been nicked

Cheers and good luck

The National Trust will rebuild the wall they do it about every 3 months but it helps if they can trace the driver and charge him for the work which is very expensive.
The main damage to his car was when he hit the 2ft square 6ft high stone gate post which took out his o/s wing, bumper and bonnet!
EDIT
MOR ,it's Ok I managed to get the registration number ,don't think it was nicked the witness says it was an Indian guy with his wife and young child, they were lucky it didn't flip over! MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Bloody hell Mk2 !!!!!

My passion in life is cycling - admittedly a strange lentil munching hobby for a RRS owner but there you go

Anyway I have just been looking at a cycling website
This is not my pic:

The general consensus on this thread is naturally anti global warmers Smile however if you approach with stealth it sounds like hes got some good pics
