Well wish I knew if a new v8 diesel was coming out, im thinking of ordering a new one but not going to if they are going to replace soon.

Ive heard different stories from different people.

Doesnt matter anyway, luck im having with the dealers at the moment, none of them can be bothered to call me back, even after ive been into the showroom. Big Cry

or any of the forum sponsors - you can find them by clicking on the "Sponsors" button on the header. CHPR usually get back pretty quickly and recently I was in contact with Rocar Moores and their sales dept got back to me very quickly. There is no need to deal with a local franchise, it's usually out of convenience that most people do, you often get very good deals at the opposite end of the country to where you live. I did!

You can even click on this link to get to the sponsors page http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/sponsors.php 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Been into Battersea branch, they had cancelled order in the showroom bali blue one.

Nice car but only offering 2% discount isnt very tempting.

Never bothered to call me back anyway, even after I talked to sales staff.

Unless of course ive got the wrong dealer.

At time I didint want to go new unless offer was very tempting, but situation has changed.

Looking for 2010 tdv8 if i can get one.

Yes, different dealership.... We're Charles Hurst Park Royal as opposed to Battersea.

We would be happy to look after you. Matthew and I will be in on Tuesday if you'd like to discuss more?

Mexico: Ford Inaugurates Chihuahua V8 Engine Plant

30 Nov 09, AUTOMOTIVEWORLD.COM, John Mortimer

MEXICO - Ford this month (November) officially inaugurated its new V8 diesel engine facility at the Chihuahua Engine Plant (CEP), Mexico, where the US company plans to invest US$838m, creating 1,100 direct employees and 3,000 indirect jobs. The investment is part of US$3bn the company will invest in Mexico over the next three years.

The new facility, with three machining lines and two assembly lines, will produce some 200,000 Scorpion 6.7-litre V8 diesel engines and 4.4-litre V8 diesels for use in light-duty trucks. This number increases the potential of the plant to 428,000 engines a year.

Much of the component machining equipment was supplied by MAG Industrial Automation Systems of Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Of the output of 200,000 units, some 170,000 units will take the form of Scorpion engines that will appear in Ford F-Series trucks next year. All of the output of the plant will be exported, the majority to the US, with the remainder going to the UK.

Engines destined for the UK will go to Jaguar Land Rover, predominantly for use in 4x4 vehicles. JLR’s take could be in the region of 20,000 to 40,000 a year.

Ford has been in Mexico since 1925 and employs 4,500 people. In addition to the engine plant, Ford has a plant in Hermosillo, Chihuahua, dedicated to stamping and assembly. Ford Mexico’s headquarters are in Mexico City.

James i will call you monday.

Christian Watkins, incase you didint see from profile.

Would like rundown on new tdv8 as several people have said they are discontinuing it and will not be available and yet others are saying its going to be revamped with a better engine.

I have cash waiting, so please dont take my jeans and trainer approach which the other dealers have done so, as perhaps i can not afford it. Very annoying buy ive had same problem in porsche dealer, they lost the sale.

anyway, Merry Christmas to everyone i hope santa brings you all the options you wanted for your RR.
