I mentioned in another thread id be happy to give any RRSport.co.uk members an idea of the prices on their Sports and as I've had a load of PM's I thought it would be worth while starting a thread.

Im not pricing anything other than a RRS, I think it would be worth while if you want a price on a RRS to post in this thread so others can get an idea of what the market is like for them.

If there is a demand im happy to publish the prices each month but that might depress some of you

If your looking for a book value all i need is age, car details and mileage
ie RRS, 2008 [58] , 3.6TD , HSE, 20K miles

some options will add a % of their original cost, or on some makes or modes their absence devalue the car slightly if considered a std.



Car prices are given from the Glass or CAP guides which are the industry pricing guides updated monthly to reflect any movement in the market. Im also happy to offer my opinion on the market for the vehicle in question, these prices are only a guide as your vehicle is only worth what someone else is willing to pay you at the end of the day but will certainly help if selling, buying or part exing your vehicle.

Any prices offered are simply my educated opinion of the vehicles worth and do not represent any offer to buy.

RRS 2008 Mar 08 2.7TDV6 HSE

Silver, 20s, Privacy, TV, Rear screens, side steps, colour coded, HST rear bumper and exhausts, 35K miles, mint condition.

No prob a 08 2.7TDV6 HSE books at £33,100 in the glass guide at 21k miles

avarage of the miles reduction is about £2500 so trade vaule would be slightly over £30k id assume

The book splits values into two categories Trade Values and Retail Values

You would have bought your RRS at a Retail Value and obviously when selling it back to the trade you get offered a Trade value for the car so there is that initial hit, irrespective of how the car depreciates. Typically the difference between the trade and retail value on the used RRS is between £3k-£4k this is obviously the profit margin for the dealer, some will buy certain stock under the trade value and some (like a LR Dealer) will sell over the Retail value as they see fit.

As I said further up these Books are only a guide.

The book mileage for your car is 33k there is little if any uplift for the reduced mileage id anticipate around £500 if you were lucky.

2008 '08' RRS HST in stornoway grey, black leather, balck wood, 23500 miles, dealer history from new, side steps fitted, thats about it I think. Most options were in the HST spec.

Thanks for that ! ... I feel a bit more at ease now as the Retail value is just a few hundred quid less than I paid 2 months ago which is comforting !

The only way to value the HST is what the option is worth over the std 08 TDV8 HSE id assume £2k roughly, maybe James from Charles Hurts would know a bit better. Its difficult with options alot boils down to the desire for the extras and sometimes if it becomes the norm its assumed that the price includes extras such as sat nav metalic paint and vehicles without these are worth less that the book values.

I think with the RRS stuff like largers wheels, running boards, privicy glass choice of interior trim ect add little if any to the price they maybe just make car more sellable rather than increasing the value.

08 , TDV8, HSE books at 21k miles

Retail £39500
Trade £36300

Then add a few grand for the HST option would see you around

Trade £38300

LR dealers usualy command a premium on used Range Rovers so they would prob forecourt your car at about £43-44k so i think the above figures arent a million miles away.

yeah you werent a million miles away , think the HST will still add vaule to the car as the HST's do retail more than the std car.
