headlight Problem!

Hey Guys,
So about last month I changed my remote's option button to turn on the headlights. It worked fine until a week ago when i noticed that all of a sudden the left headlight's gone weak and PINK!!! then a few days later I noticed that the headlight (Left side) is completely out. The weird thing is that when I turn on the car both headlights go on then the left one starts flickering then goes out. Even if I press my Option button both headlights go on then the left one flickers and go out.
Has anyone had this problem before? I'm just hoping this is a bulb problem and nothing major.
I have adaptive headlights if that matters.
thanks
M

Welcome to the forums moomoor82 - I think a trip to the dealer is on the cards. I don't recall anybody reporting problems with headlight lamps before. Do you have standard Xenon's or the Adaptive lights. I think the connection between setting the remote and the problem may be purely co-incidental. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Not heard this before. As Tim says, no connection with the remote and a trip to the dealers is on.
However, if VA is right, then don't worry - your car is just winking at you! Laughing Malaysia Boleh!

Seems a bit costly, but then those may be Canadian Dollars and the price may include the labour charge.
I think you should query the cost - I was told by the service manager at a dealership that these lamps have a warranty from the lamp maker that guarantees them for something like 10 years or 10,000 on/off cycles 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

When I had a headlight stop working I enquired about a new bulb and can confirm the price is vast! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

CAD/USD is about 1.07 so roughly equivalent - less the 1 hour for labor - for that price you would expect these bulbs to last much longer than a couple of years... PJPR
