can i use an ipod in my 09 tdv8

hi all

I have got a rrs tdv8 2009 model

please forgive me for asking but i have trawled through the forum looking and i am getting confused

All i want to do is plug an ipod into my car so i can listen to music and if possible charge the ipod aswell, i am not sure if you can have the music displayed on the radio screen as in track number etc.

please try and tell me in plain english as i am not gadget orientated so i may struggle to understan Embarassed

You can connect an ipod through the Aux port found at the rear of the arm rest assembly. Volume tends to suffer somewhat though.

Charging is not possible as standard or playing through screen.

You can get an Alpine aftermarket kit that can do all this but it is around £600 to buy without installation charges, which by the sound of it you would need.

I picked one up the other day but no time to fit it yet.

typical land rover then even more expense thinks this stinks really

all my wife had to do with her 58 plate vw eos was buy a ipod cable for £69.00 and connect this and all the ipod works through the sat nav screen telling you what no track is playing etc etc all this on a £25k car

i spend over £40k and it takes a lot more sorting out bloody great Evil or Very Mad

Connect the iPod via AUX. Good quality.
If you have a lot of songs on your iPod it's difficult to search the right one over the Satnav.
The best way is to buy the Drive + Play 2 from Harman/Kardon.
