Front bumper removal - screw in the wheelarch...

Hi,

I've got a problem with my front left parking sensor so trying to replace it (annoyingly it knocks out the rear sensors too! Mad ). Anyway, I've managed to get off all the bolts under the car (a real pain), but the final 2 flathead screws that hold the bumper on inside the wheel arches I cannot get off.

Anybody got any advice on how to remove these? They are jammed solid and the heads are pretty much disintegrating. I'm thinking I may have to cut them off but don't want to damage the bumper...

Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers

yeah ones under the car are a real pain

I assume you have removed the wheel and used the correct sized bit?

I've had to cut off ones in the rear arch before

Yeah I had to do the same yesterday to replace bumper the ones underneath the car are a pain and torx heads which I think makes it harder
The 2 screws inside the wheel arches 1 each side on mine were the plastic type and came out easy

I think I read a post from someone who said you can reach those sensors if you remove the grill and headlights.
