Jesus Christ! He gets a SC XJ as a loan car! Rolling Eyes

Maybe LR dealers here should start pulling in cars from elsewhere in the Ford empire. Maybe a DB9 here, a GT40 there... I wouldn't complain! Wink

They do a lot of different Phaetons now because the original one, er, um sort of didnt sell as no-one spends 70 grand plus on a VW.
Its a nice car but it does not feel "special".
The Jag SC is excellent. Driven them before in the UK. Believe it or not, I know lots of Germans who dream of owning a Jaguar. Its one of those cars that you park up over here and after a while people of all ages put their faces against the glass to look into it.....bizzare Shocked
I know that the dealer has demo Astons, Bentleys, Lambos but I dont think I will get one of them and would not want one. I would be scared to crash it and would feel a little silly going to Aldi in a yellow Lambo!

Anyone used those clay-bar paint cleansers then??

Most people shop at Aldi here. They have monthly offers on that have become a bit of a national obsession over here. You see all sorts in Aldi over here as well as Lidl and Penny Markt. I have even seen a Maybach in Aldis car park with the owner putting a couple of Plasma screens in the boot Very Happy

Only on a forum like this can you see the words Aldi, Lidl and Maybach in the same sentence!! Lidl is a horrendous shop... it's my mother in law's favourite. Embarassed

I think Lidl is a bit different over here. They sell branded products to get people into the stores. They have been fined over here for only having 2 or 3 branded products per store (and people actually queue before the door opens to get hold of them too!)

Collect my car today (hopefully) and another advantage of my dealer is that I get a full valet, inside and out including all the glass polished and wheels cleaned properly! They even clean all the leather and it is all for free!

Before you say "well, we all live in rip-off Britain" so would have to pay for that, bear in mind that we pay 8% vat on food, I had to pay £20,000 tax for the privilege of buying my home and if I sell it before I have lived in it for 10 years, I have to pay 18% tax on any profit I make!? Mad

Tax........dont you just love it!!

Having lived in Germany for several years those shops are whole lot different to the versions off them that we get here in the UK. Nowt wrong with Aldi and Lidl in Germany, but you wouldn't get me near one here.

Wish I could find some decent Bratwurst over here though. TDV6 - gone
