Have gone for the original grained wheel, thought the 'smooth feel' contrasted too much with the other grained areas ie; dash etc

Any ideas how you get the airbag and switches off to get at the centre nut? Simon - 2005 RRS TDV6 Java Black _ Best yet!

There's a "special" tool required to remove the airbag and switch pack I believe - not sure if a dealer would supply this or not.

Ok thanks. As it needs a special tool I'll leave it to get replaced at the service in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the info. Simon - 2005 RRS TDV6 Java Black _ Best yet!

I had it done by the service.
Half an hour labour and I did not take the hassle to play with airbag.

My worn steering wheel was replaced under warranty... for some reason they also replaced my perfectly good airbag at the same time?! Laughing
