My new Blackberry Curve 8900 paired fine with my MY09 RRS even though a VIN check on the LR website said that it wouldn't transfer the phone book....it did.

Sorry, don't know about the MY10 RRS system.

My Blackberry 9000 worked great with the 2010. The phonebook entries look fine. I had upgraded the blackberry to the latest OS, though, which I think may be the trick, because I read that was necessary in the case of the LR2/FL2, which uses the same (or similar) system. At the time, my carrier (AT&T) didn't have the latest OS available, so I just downloaded from a carrier from China. Works great. I'm currently at 4.6.0.282, but i think there are even later versions now.

I'm not up to speed on the OS versions for the Curve, but I bet all you need is an OS upgrade. The crackberry forum is good place to go to see what's available, how to do it, and how stable it is.

Hi all. First post on this forum after picking up my 2010 RRS. Everything great so far but have the same problem in that i have a blackberry curve which connects fine but the phone book doesn't show the names, only the numbers. Land Rovers web site does state that there are problems with the phone book. Has anyone managed to get the phone book to load correctly?

Had the same problem with MY2010 SE and Blackberry 8900. After poking around a number of user forums it seemed that the problem was with the handset which was running on Orange modified software platform. RIM came up with a new version of the operating software (notified by running Blackberry Desktop software upgrade check) and once this was uploaded to handset (again using Blackberry Desktop software) phone book names and phone numbers transferred no problem. RIM software version is: v4.6.1.310 (platform 4.2.0.127). Hope this helps. Long suffering RRS Owner, but I can't help it!

Had the same problem. The BB OS upgrade solves the phone book name issue. Search my name on previous posts as i sent the link to the BB OS upgrade page.

I'm still having one problem though. When a new call comes in i only see the number on the screen and not the name the number is connected with. Does everyone else have this problem?
