Australia 2013 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Rimini Red
Modified ARB Bull Bar for RRS

I wonder how many of us on this forum and others would be interested in obtaining the modified D3 ARB bar as per the post yesterday under 'TDV8 Off Road Ready'? It would be interesting to see if we could get anywhere near the numbers where ARB would start to consider it for compliance work. The thing is, I for one reckon that if they were to produce a 'proper' RRS version, in their 'Sahara Bar' design, whereby it wouldnt wreck the looks of the vehicle but still provide frontal protection and a place to mount a winch, there would be a bigger market that they currently seem to appreciate. Surely a large part of the design/compliance work would be transferrable from the D3 testing? I dont think I would consider it unless it was air-bag compliant! 2015 SDV8 HSE in Corris Grey with contrasting black panoramic roof and chunky Cooper Tyres.

I'm not sure if I would do that mod to be honest.

It would be interesting to know how many prospects ARB would need to make it commercially viable.

The underlying structure of the D3 and RRS is virtually the same, so compliance shouldn't be a problem. I would definitely be interested.....

I think they're illegal in the UK if they are supplied and fitted by a dealer but not if done by owner - daft I know. PS this post relates to our friends in Australia. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

It doesn't look as bad as I imagined it would...

I see the thread is from back in 2005 yet there are few details as to how it was done exactly!

Can individuals do that to a car in Australia, even if the bull bar hasn't been compliance tested??
