Josh, do you mean "SPIKES-SPIDER" as I cannot find "Snow Claws" on their site, which I'd rather! Old enough to know better,

Sorry got confused. Well spotted.Yes Spikes-spider may work with 20" as there is not so much loose chain to bang around. Would need a phonecall to Roofbox to seek their advice and prob a visit to try them on before I would buy. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Well I'm back and the RRS is in one piece Laughing Ended up borrowing some chains from a friend with a L200 as the chains listed for my wheels were the same as his. They fitted but clearance was an issue so really didn't want to use them.

When we got there the roads were clear and we drove into our snow filled parking space without issue.
By the time we had to leave we had really heavy snow fall and at 6am the ploughs hadn't been out!! In to snow mode and we were moving.... Seemed to manage OK all the way down the mountain and back up again - most 2WD cars were wheel spinning all the way up to the police who let us pass without putting chains on!! Saw about 5 RRSs the whole week and even got a flash and a wave from a French one!!

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Guys you don't need to go all that way to go skiing - my house is only 34m above sea level in Central Scotland and you can have great fun here without all that driving across foreign lands

Although it rained here yesterday it is snowing again now. The A9 snow gates are closed at all the usual places - Drumochtar and Tomintaul but you don't need to go to the regular Scottish resorts to get enough snow for skiing! And there's no requirement for snow chains in this country!!! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Tim in Scotland - Looks like you've got as much snow as the Alps!!! Shocked

LOL @ VA Laughing

MDP - Skiing was very good, didn't want to come home. Had about a foot or more of snow every night. Apres was also very good indeed, although towards the end of the week we were in bed by about 9! Old enough to know better,

Mole, it's probably easier for you to get to Switzerland from the south than it is to come up here - and with the lift fees they charge at Aviemore, cheaper too!

Interesting to see from Mole's photos of the rear hatch of their car that the snow has slipped off mine in exactly the same way ......... the rear wiper is also an avalanche preventer! Shocked 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
