At first it looked like the guy in the back was holding a handgun and shooting at the supercar! Guess I've been living in the States for too long...

No, it wasn't too bad... I didn't notice due to the window being open also.

Maybe I didn't hear because of the sound of the cars passing by:

(it's a fund raiser for cancer patients, so no race...)

Actually, not surprising if I tell you the reason for the fundraiser...

7 years ago a friend of mine died aged 27, due to cancer. His daily job was restoring classic Lotuses...

With some friends we decided to organise a fundraiser every year, and donate the money to cancer research (so far we raised about 650.000 Euro in the past 6 years). Goal is that we take cancer patients out for a day, and let companies sponsor the cars (around 100 "exclusive" cars, as you can see int he video).

Unfortunately we only have 2 hours at Zandvoort, so getting 4 groups of 25 cars out on track (4 groups: beginners, experienced drivers, and then split into light and heavy (+1 tonne) cars), brings the total of laps to around 3 laps, repeated two times. Not much to get some "action shots" especially, as you can see in the first tour on track, the white Esprit didn't pass (didn't know beginners were given instructions not to pass LOL). I was waving like a crazy to pass, as my instructions were: one lap to film the group, then back in the pits, in case someone went off, my Range was the "official tow truck" LOL

All in all, first time I've not driven myself (as my Tuscan is in for an engine rebuild) but great fun nevertheless...

That's really a great idea and impressive how you guys can organize quite a big thing like that and raise that sort of money! Thumbs Up Bow down Thumbs Up RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink
